Cleveland fire crews work residential fire near Lee University

Cleveland fire chief Bobby Gaylor confirmed Friday morning that there was a residential fire in close proximity of Lee University's Campus on Ocoee St

Cleveland fire chief Bobby Gaylor confirmed Friday morning that there was a residential fire in close proximity of Lee University’s Campus on Ocoee Street.

Crews say the fire initially came in as an automatic alarm and arriving crews found smoke showing and escalated the response to a structure fire.

It took about 30 minutes for crews to access and extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
