Trae Cody, Owner/Operator of Companion Funeral & Cremation Services, has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 Mel Bedwell Small Business Person of the Year award by the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce.
Cody, the 31st recipient of this prestigious award will be honored at a social event on May 16, 4-6 p.m., at the Museum & Cultural Center at 5ive Points.
Companion Funeral & Cremation Services, originally named Constant Companion Pet Crematory, was established in 2008 by Trae’s parents, Robbie and Shelli Cody. Trae’s dedication to serving families during difficult times led to the expansion of services and the renaming of the facility in 2011. Under Trae’s leadership, the business has grown to include three locations, an events venue, and a forthcoming memorial garden.
The Mel Bedwell Small Business Person of the Year award honors individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and dedication to their community.
