The Boys and Girls Club of the Ocoee Region

For more than a century, the Boys & Girls Club have helped put young people on the path to great futures. Their mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Every child who walks through the Boys & Girls Club doors will have the opportunity to have a safe and encouraging place to go during out-of-school time, to be engaged by caring, friendly, welcoming staff, to have positive learning opportunities, to have a variety of club experiences that foster creativity and imagination, and finally to be inspired to achieve great futures.

The Caring Place

Today, The Caring Place has support from 52 churches, representing 12 denominations, 134 active volunteers, 11 staff members, and over 150 organizations and businesses. “C.A.R.E leads to Change” by Connecting, Advocating, Restoring, and Empowering. They connect neighbors to resources and each other and provide food, clothing, professional social work services, and spiritual support to families in need. They serve as advocates and champions for our neighbors, bringing attention to needs and obstacles in our community that adversely affect those in poverty. They  see lives restored and transformed through spiritual support and neighborly love. They offer compassionate, non-judgmental care that affirms the dignity and worth of each individual. Finally, they seek to empower our neighbors and community through investigative groups for individuals to build their future story and build supports to make it a reality.

Habitat for Humanity

At Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland, they believe in the “Cycle of Blessings” and that, “The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.” Proverbs 11:25 MSG. They receive gently used donations in their ReStore and sell those items at a discount to bless our customers and those sales are used to help build homes – and bless our hard-working Habitat homeowners with decent, affordable housing. They clean items and donate to other non-profits and organizations in not only Bradley County but across the United States and tithe to help globally.

Hope 4 One

Hope4One ministries was founded by a group of adoptive/ foster parents, local to Cleveland, TN. The heart of Hope4One is to be the body of Christ to vulnerable children and adoptive and foster families in our local community. Through their team members, board, volunteers, and local churches, they will work to educate, fundraise, and support families who are called to adopt or foster. Ultimately, they want vulnerable children and the families caring for them to know and understand the gospel.

Isaiah 117 House

Isaiah 117 House aims at providing physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement. Isaiah 1:17 says, “defend the cause of the fatherless.” Their dream is to provide a place always ready to take in the children of this region in their time of need and help with what is inevitably a traumatic transition. They believe their home has the potential to positively affect the children who are coming into custody in ways far beyond what we could ever imagine as well as support the DCS staff of this region.

New Hope Pregnancy Care Center

New Hope Pregnancy Care Center has been offering help, hope and accurate information since 1986.  Their purpose is to provide resources for those in the greater Cleveland/Bradley County area who are facing unplanned pregnancies. They offer practical help through free ultrasounds and free pregnancy tests, in addition to options coaching which is provided by trained Client Advocates. They desire to be the first choice for help in our community among those who are pregnant or think they may be, by offering a confidential, non-judgmental environment where clients can receive the help and tangible resources they need.

Project Free 2 Fly

Project Free 2 Fly works with rehabilitation programs in our area to identify women who are ready to make the move from recovery to sustainable life. Many women leave rehabilitation programs with no home, no car, no bank account, and no job. Free 2 Fly acts as a bridge between recovery and sustainability.  They hire women and teach them the skills they need to manufacture the products sold in our shop and online. Women at Free 2 Fly start on simple products and eventually graduate to more complicated designs and materials.  While learning to sew, women are learning the skills needed to be productive and valuable community members. Participants are provided with mentoring, counseling services, and life skills training. Each participant is also paired with a mentor with whom they meet weekly to talk about personal circumstances, financial decisions, family challenges, or any number of issues that impacts the whole person.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army of Cleveland exists to meet human needs in the name of Jesus, without discrimination.  Their children and youth programs teach character and establish faith, break cycles of generational poverty, and empower kids and youth to serve and lead.  Their adult programs restore hope and rebuild self-esteem, and Angel Tree provides a source of joy and hope to those in need.  They bring dignity to our homeless friends by offering daily showers and laundry, feed the hungry with their meal programs, provide relief from disasters, restore lives through free residential drug and alcohol rehab, and so much more.
