From the Cleveland Daily Banner: Café Roma’s Chef Cody Headrick’s white chicken chili won the International Cowpea Festival’s Cook-off, held on Saturday in Charleston at Hoyt Berry Municipal Park. 

 

Chefs from Absolute Best Eatery, the Bradley Central High School Culinary class, Marthie Ann’s Tennessee Blue Plate, and Tasteful Gatherings also competed for the title.

 

Proceeds from the festival benefit the Hiwassee River Heritage Center in Charleston.
