The Bradley County Commission met on Monday covering several items of business. Bradley County Mayor D. Gary Davis gave a report on COVID-19 cases, stating there are currently 881 active cases in Bradley County, and there have been 4 deaths since the last Commission meeting. He also noted various construction projects in the county are underway, including Phase 1 of the new roof at the justice center. A resolution was presented for next week’s voting session to allow the Agricultural Extension Office to move into the PIE Center. Lengthy discussion was had on concerns over the vaccine, vaccine mandates, and how federal funds received by the county will be used. Many audience members expressed they do not support the federal mandates.
