The Bradley County Board of Education met last night.
During the meeting, 6th District Board Member, Amanda Lee was appointed as the Board Policy Chair.
The Board also approved Walker Valley High School’s proposal to start a Navy National Defense Cadet Corps program. The Navy Junior ROTC program will begin in January of 2024. Currently, Bradley Central High School has an Army ROTC program and Cleveland High School has an Air Force ROTC program. The proposal passed unanimously, with the motion being made by 3rd District Board Member Teddy Bryson.
The next Bradley County Board of Education meeting will be held on November 14th.
