Wacker Charleston team members receive 2023 Presidential Spotlight Value Award

From the Chattanoogan: Wacker Chemical Corporation announced the three recipients of the Presidential Spotlight Value Award. The annual award recognizes team members who embody the company’s five values:

Customers: WACKER’s products and solutions are their customers’ first choice
Company Value: Continuously increasing company value
Employees: To be one of the world’s best employers
Innovations: Tapping into new markets via product and process innovations for tomorrow’s world
Sustainability: Responsibility as a company extends beyond just business activities

The Presidential Spotlight Values Award Program began in February 2017 to renew awareness of Wacker’s corporate vision statement: “We Develop Intelligent Solutions for Sustainable Growth.” Nominees highlight the best of the five fundamental values.

The 2023 honorees included Wacker-Charleston Field Safety Specialists Richard Kokello, David Cantrell and Scott Duckworth for their contributions to sustainability and safety.

“We’re honored to nominate Richard, David, and Scott,” said Patrick Rasmussen, Wacker-Charleston’s director of Environmental Health Safety and Security. “They are technical experts who work closely with operations and engineering to advance safety by mentoring our hourly team members, emphasizing that safety is a precondition for everything we do, and helping to create a culture that ensures everyone returns home safe every day.”

“Throughout Wacker’s North and Central Americas region, which includes Charleston and seven other production sites in the U.S., team members demonstrate the company’s five corporate values in many ways,” said Wacker-Charleston Site Leader Ken Collins. “Individuals and teams are nominated for the annual President’s Spotlight Values Awards each year. The senior leadership team selects the recipients from the highly deserving award nominees. We are proud to have our site represented among the most recent group of award recipients.”
