State Representative Dan Howell has shared several updates on local road projects with WCLE. The shared information from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, shows progress is being made in the local area that will hopefully alleviate some traffic congestion and make our roadways safer.

 

Several projects are in the preliminary engineering stage. These projects include:

-Minnis Road at Highway 64

-The Northbound exit ramp to Benton Pike

-The Intersection of 25th Street and Ocoee Street

-The Old Lower River Road bridge over South Mouse Creek Rd

-And the Widening of Highway 11 from Anatole to Charleston

 

These projects do not have estimated completion dates at this time.

 

However, several projects do have completion dates now listed:

 

The following projects are listed to be completed by the end of 2023:

 

The INTERSECTION of Highway 64 AT MINNIS ROAD NORTHEAST

 

The Bridge replacement over BRYMER CREEK ROAD.

 

And the TUNNEL HILL ROAD, BRIDGE REPLACEMENT OVER BLACK FOX CREEK

 

Interchange at Paul Huff Parkway and interstate 75 off and on ramps will see improvements by September of 2024.

 

And although some portions should be completed earlier, the entire Highway 60 widening to Highway 58 is now listed with a completion date of August of 2025.
