My name is Bennett George and I am a junior at Walker Valley High School. I am raising funds to go to the World Championships for slalom kayaking in Krakow, Poland in August of this year. I started my slalom kayaking sport when my dad signed me up to compete in the Ocoee River Championships in 2019. I was hooked after that first race and became committed to the sport. I have paddled multiple days a week even through the winter (rain, sleet, snow, cold, don’t stop me). On April 14-16, 2023 I entered the US TEAM Trials for a top spot on the US Team. The top 3 paddlers in each division receive a spot to represent the US at the World Championships in Poland. I am reaching out to help raise money for this trip to Europe. Funds will be used for airfare, hotel, equipment, and food for this trip.
