In news today…

Manufacturing Day is held on the first Friday in the month of October and celebrates the modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Cleveland State Community College is working to lessen the skill gap for students looking to get into the manufacturing field. CSCC has partnered with several local manufacturers to provide opportunities for students in the Advanced Technology Institute (ATI).

Since local manufacturers have a buy-in with the ATI, it has created a talent pipeline across organizations by raising talent morale, reducing turnover, improving productivity, increasing diversity, and attracting top talent for the future workforce. CSCC is preparing the next generation of workers for a career in manufacturing they can look forward to. The ATI program has been a proven success in reducing the skill shortage of manufacturing workers in the Tennessee Valley region.

Students in the ATI are able to choose from concentrations such as Computer Information

Technology, Mechatronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Engineering Systems Technology, HVAC and Refrigeration and Welding.
