Cleveland City Schools to host Kindergarten Enrollment event
‘We are excited to welcome the Class of 2037 to Cleveland City Schools! Our full-day Kindergarten program allows students to learn reading, math, and science skills to prepare them for a successful educational journey.
Registration for Kindergarten will start on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, on Cleveland City Schools’ website. Cleveland City Schools will host a Kindergarten Enrollment event on Saturday, March 25 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Cleveland High School.
“Kindergarten is such an exciting and important time as students begin their educational journey,” Supervisor of Secondary Education Kellye Bender said. “This event will provide parents the opportunity to complete the enrollment process, explore community resources that can support their student, meet kindergarten teachers, and talk with their elementary principal.”
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:
– Students must be 5 years old on or before August 15, 2023.
– Families must enroll their children at the school within their zone. You can find your
School Zone here.
FAMILIES MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING:
– Student’s proof of identity (birth certificate preferred)
– Student’s complete immunization health record from a licensed physician
– Proof of residence, which can include a lease agreement, electric, water, or gas bill with
the name and address of the parent/guardian.
PREFERRED TIME OF ENROLLMENT FOR THE MARCH 25TH EVENT:
– Arnold Memorial Elementary 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.
– Mayfield Elementary 8:45 – 9:45 a.m.
– Blythe-Bower Elementary 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
– Candy’s Creek Cherokee Elementary 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.
– Stuart Elementary 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
– Yates Primary 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
