The Cleveland City Council met yesterday.

 

The Council and State Representative Kevin Raper presented Mayor Emeritus Tom Rolland with a plaque thanking him for his many years of service to the community. 

 

The Council also declared June 12th as Mark Fidler Day in Cleveland to mark Mr. Fidler’s retirement as the Manager and Chief of Operations of the Cleveland Regional Airport. 

 

Cleveland Utilities gave an update on the water taste and odor issues. CU says they are doing everything possible to help the situation and that the water is being tested regularly and is still up to regulatory standards for consumption. 

 

Ken Melton was reappointed to the Cleveland Housing Authority for an additional five-year term to expire in November of 2027.

 

It was announced at the meeting that Mosby Park will have a grand re-opening on July 10th. 

 

City Offices will be closed Monday, June 19, 2023, in observance of Juneteenth. 

  1. The next City Council meeting will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023. The Work Session will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the Regular Session at 3:00 p.m.
