The Bradley County School Board met last night for a work session.
The Board discussed the 2024-25 General-purpose school budget totaling over $106 million dollars.
The budget includes a 2% increase for all salaried employees in addition to normal step raises.
Under a new state school funding model, per-student funding increased from $6,860 to $7,075 for the school district. This is the first year of the new funding model and was part of Gov. Bill Lee’s initiative to bring all teacher salaries to the minimum salary of $50,000.
The Bradley County School Board will next meet on May 7th at 5:00 PM at the Bradley County School’s Central Office.
