WillowBend Farms presents the Are You Awake Conference, the first of its kind in Southeast Tennessee!
This conference will educate you on the realities of human trafficking and drug-endangered children in our area, and teach you how to advocate and impact change in your community.
Keynote speakers are Dr. Stephen Loyd, Chief Medical Officer of Cedar Recovery; and Cyntoia Brown Long, survivor and advocate for social justice and change.
Breakout sessions will feature a broad variety of topics presented by engaging speakers. You’ll hear from people who directly interact with those affected by addiction; receive advanced training on signs of human trafficking; develop trauma-informed and strength-based responses; learn about the intersection of child sexual abuse images and human trafficking; and more.
Presenters include experts from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Tennessee Bureau of Investigations, TN Lifeline, Department of Homeland Security, TN Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, TN Suicide Prevention Network, the District Attorney’s office, the US Attorney General’s office, and many others.
You will have the opportunity to interact with vendors, find resources for services provided by agencies that work with vulnerable populations, and make connections with colleagues in various fields.
