Out of an abundance of caution, Cleveland City Schools dismissed Donald P Yates Primary School & Ernest L. Ross Elementary School students beginning at 11:30 a.m. yesterday morning due to a ruptured gas line caused by construction near the schools.
In a release from Cleveland City Schools to WCLE, it was stated that all students and staff were safe.
Crews from Chattanooga Gas were on site and helped repair the leak.
