From Local 3 News: Bradley County investigators are asking for your help identifying the man in a bizarre and terrifying attack on the road in the middle of the night last week.

A young woman who fears for her life is sharing her terrifying experience.

We’re keeping her identity hidden for safety reasons.

She says it all started at this intersection on Ootelwah-Georgetown and Mahan Gap Road.

By the end of the chase, he was on top of her car and yelling while he smashed her windshield in.

“That’s just been my biggest thing, like why… why me… or why that encounter,” she said.

She is still shaken up from the experience she says was unprovoked.

Investigators say it happened on June 22, just after midnight.

She says she was driving with her boyfriend when they noticed the man aggressively following their car.

“So the gas station was where I first came up to that stop sign, and he pulled out behind me,” she explained.

Surveillance video from inside the Circle K gas station shows the man moments before he started following them.

Investigators say he was driving an F-150 truck that had a white passenger door.

“Never seen this man in my life .. Never seen that car,” he said.

She recalls the truck having bright LED lights because he repeatedly used them to blind her vision.

“He’s tailing me, getting really close, flashing his lights at me on and off, and I kind of start stressing out, and my boyfriend starts telling me you’re fine, you’re fine,” she said.

The man chased them up Mahan Gap Road into Bradley County.

She says he pulled in front of her and blocked her vehicle. When she tried to get away, he jumped out of his car.

“I hesitate and try to go around him. He jumps in front of my car,” he described. “I slam on my breaks and come over to my driver’s side and start beating on my window.”

He shattered her windshield. She says she feared for her life and wondered what he was after.

“The only thing he kept saying over and over again is just let me talk to you … just let me talk to you,” she said.

She says it could be a case of mistaken identity, but she will be watching out for her safety until he is caught.

“Every time I drive, I am looking for that car. I have that man’s face embedded in my head,” she said.
