On Tuesday, Oct. 29th, deputies and detectives from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office
responded to a burglary reported by a resident on Spring Place Road. Several items were stolen from the residence, which were linked back to James “Jimmy” Tigue who was located and arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Upon investigation, BCSO deputies and detectives identified the items that were stolen from the Spring Place Road residence. Items matching the description of those missing from the residence were noted to have been in the possession of Tigue when officers made
contact with him earlier that day, before the burglary was reported.
At the time of this offense, Tigue was out on bond for a previous aggravated burglary. Warrants were issued for Tigue for burglary and theft; he was arrested the following day and remains in custody at the Bradley County Justice Center on a $20,000 bond.

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office along with several other agencies gathered together on November 6th and 7th for what they called a “warrant round up” that resulted in 23 arrests.
The joint effort included law enforcement from Chattanooga FBI, United States Marshal Service, Tennessee Department of Corrections Office of Investigations, and the Cleveland Police Department along with other agencies that participated in the operation.
Investigators said the men and women that were arrested are facing multiple narcotic charges, stolen vehicle, and storage unit burglary charges.

Volkswagen Chattanooga is upshifting into “G” for growth mode Wednesday.
Volkswagen of America’s chief executive, Gov. Bill Lee, key members of VW’s dealer council and local leaders are to break ground on an $800 million plant expansion. The automaker plans to assemble electric vehicles at the facility and hire upwards of 1,000 more workers.
The car company will also start airing new TV commercials nationally which were filmed in Chattanooga and feature VW employees at the 3,800-person plant.
The commercials align with the carmaker’s “sign and drive” sales campaign and show employees both inside and outside the factory.
