Topping our news today, a first-degree murder suspect was arrested in Washington, D.C. On Tuesday, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office was informed by the Washington, D.C. Police Department that El Hadji Alpha Madiou Toure was arrested for his involvement in a first-degree murder in Washington, D.C.

Further investigation by detectives determined the male had several aliases which include Elie Brown and Elhadji Alpha Madiou Toure, who is wanted by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding Violation of Probation warrant from Bradley County Criminal Court. Records in Bradley County Criminal Court ndicate he plead guilty to two counts of robbery on October 6th, 2006. He received an 8-year sentence, where he served one year in Bradley County’s Correctional Facility before being placed on probation.

On March 23rd, 2007 a Violation of Probation warrant was filed in Bradley County Criminal Court, which is still outstanding. Jail records indicate a substantial arrest history under both names, with an address located in Lawrenceville, GA.

Detectives have begun to investigate the disappearance of a Cleveland, Tenn., man as a homicide after he was found dead in a remote part of Polk County.

Thomas Creek Jr, 34, was reported missing on March 23 by a family member, according to a news release. Witness statements confirmed Creek had been missing since March 14.

Authorities came to believe foul play was involved in his disappearance and their investigation eventually led them to Polk County where the victim was found dead.

Sean Scott Hale, 26, is suspected of Creek’s murder and there is an active warrant out for his arrest.

One person was injured in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning on South Lee Highway.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on the busy two-lane section of the roadway near the entrance to Varnell Nursery. Several emergency responders arrived on the scene of the accident to provide assistance.

According to James Bradford, communications director for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, the accident involved one vehicle, which struck a power pole just off the road.

A 62-year-old female victim of the accident was transported to Tennova Healthcare for treatment. Neither her identity nor her condition at the hospital were available as of news time. Other information on the cause of the crash was not available.

Traffic was slowed through the accident site, with many drivers turning around and taking an alternate route.
