Tim Siniard reports: Cleveland Mayor Emeritus Tom Rowland and his wife, Sandra, are COVID-19 free.
The former mayor told the Cleveland Daily Banner on Monday that he and his wife had received a letter from the Tennessee Department of Health advising them that when an individual has a positive laboratory result indicating current infection with COVID-19, they are required to isolate at home for a minimum of 10 days and they must not be feverish and be symptom-free for at least 72 hours.
Rowland said the letter stated that there was no requirement to have a negative laboratory result to be released from isolation.
While in isolation, the Rowlands kept in touch with friends on Zoom and were kept company by their tw cats: brothers, Abbott and Costello, who are both 14 years old.

A man was arrested by Bradley County Sheriff ’s Office deputies on Monday in connection with the multiple shooting of a Cleveland man
The suspect, Javonte McKnight, is facing multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder and misdemeanor violation of probation.
The incident took place at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Country Club Drive.
BCSO Public Information Officer Taylor Woodruff said the investigation discovered that one male victim was shot several times while on the third floor, who then fell to the ground, sustaining further injuries to his legs.
He was transported to the hospital for emergency medical attention.
Woodruff said the investigation remains under investigation.

Larry Bowers reports: Construction is picking up in the Cleveland area, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, face masks and social distancing.
The Cleveland Planning Office reports 26 building permits were obtained in May, with an estimated construction value of almost $12.3 million, and building permit fees collected of $36,562.
Included in the commercial category were several major projects, including two additional liquor stores, a $6.5 million construction (and relocation) of one of the city’s main auto dealerships, $1.9 million for a new insurance building, a new warehouse facility to cost $1.2 million, and $1.35 million for renovations to a commercial suite on Paul Huff Parkway to accommodate a grocery store.
According to the Cleveland Planning office, the Crown Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealership is moving to 3571 Village North Boulevard S.W.
