From NewsChannel 9: The Polk County Courthouse will be closed due to a large water leak until next week, according to Robby Hatcher, Polk County Executive.
Hatcher says the County Clerk’s Office and The Trustees Office on the east side of the county will be closed as well.
Hatcher tell us this is because the servers are all connected together, and until the software companies can come and repair the systems, business cannot be conducted.
They plan to re-open January 30th after the courthouse is properly cleaned the damaged areas are repaired.
Hatcher apologies for any inconveniences this may cause to the public.
“We are fully aware that this may cause some issues for everyone,” says Hatcher. “Again we apologize for the inconvenience, but this is out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the employees and community.”
