The City of Cleveland held a swearing in ceremony for new Mayor Kevin Brooks along with new City Councilman Ken Webb, as well as incumbent Councilmen Charlie McKenzie and Dr. Bill Estes. The ceremony was held Monday afternoon at the Museum Center at Five Points. New Mayor Kevin Brooks talked with Mix 104-1…

Now former Cleveland Mayor Tom Rowland also spoke with Mix 104-1 after the ceremony…

As the first act of the City Council, they mandated that the signs be placed at the bridge at Exit 20 naming the exit for now former state representative Kevin Brooks, the legislation for which was passed one year ago.

Cleveland Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Amanda Coon, age 29, who was reported missing on August 21st. She was last known to be with Kris Heggestad. Heggestad and Coon both have active warrants, as well as Coon being listed as missing in the National Crime Information Center. Currently, there are no leads as to her whereabouts. Anyone with information about Amanda Coon is urged to contact Detective Andy Wattenbarger at 423-559-3392 or you may leave a confidential tip via CPD’s Facebook inbox. If you see Amanda Coon, please immediately contact the 911 Communications Center at 423-476-7611.

Last night, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office reported to the scene of a shooting on Coffey Road in Bradley County. The shooting suspect was taken into custody and the victim transported to Erlanger. Stay tuned to Mix 104-1 throughout the day for updates on this developing story.
