From the Cleveland Daily Banner…

Larry Bowers reports: Cleveland Utilities customers will see a slight rate decrease for the month of May, as compared to April. CU Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Marsall Stinnett informed the board at a recent gathering that customers will see a drop of .25 percent below April’s numbers. Stinnett said this will bring CU to a rate of 9.132 cents per kilowatt hour. The rate in April was 9.155 cents per kilowatt hour. The rate change, according to the utility’s financial officer, is driven by the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Fuel Cost Adjustment, and the move to the transition month rate schedule. As a continued trend, CU is passing the TVA adjustment along to its customers.
