President Donald Trump is gearing up for his visit to Nashville on Wednesday.

Trump is expected to arrive in Music City in the morning after visiting two cities in Michigan earlier in the day.

Trump will be holding a rally at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Nashville.

Before the rally, Trump will visit Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, which will be closed to the public.

The president will tour the home and lay a wreath on Jackson’s tomb to commemorate what would have been his 250th birthday.

Officials said Trump is the 14th president to visit the Hermitage and the first since Ronald Reagan to take part in the birthday ceremony.

Doors open for Trump’s rally at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The rally is free and open to the public, but guests will need to reserve tickets ahead of time.

During two more enrollment periods — in late 2016 and early ’17 — for the ever-growing partial payment program for Bradley County property taxes, the Trustee’s Office added another 200 participants.

The program, which was launched in 2010 at the suggestion of local taxpayers, has far exceeded initial expectations.

Locally, one of the key groups that uses the partial payment plan is the elderly.

The most recent enrollment periods were held in late November and early December of 2016, and during portions of January and February in 2017.

The Trustee’s Office also has a partial payment program for current and delinquent real and personal taxes.

The Trustee’s Office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

The office is located in Room 104 of the Bradley County Courthouse’s ground floor. It can be found just down the hall, and on the opposite side, from the Bradley County Clerk’s Office (where automobile taxes are renewed).

Questions about the partial payment, tax relief, tax freeze or other tax programs operated by the Trustee’s Office may be directed to 423-728-7247 or 423-728-7248.
