University of Tennessee officials are canceling in-person classes as a precaution to the coronavirus outbreak.
A press release from the UT system says all in-person classes at the UTC are canceled from March 16-30.
The release says, “while there are no reports of active confirmed cases involving COVID-19 on any University of Tennessee campus, there are confirmed cases in Tennessee.”
UT President Randy Boyd says this is a precautionary measure.
UTC officials says automatic waivers will be granted to international students, student athletes & selected other student groups. Students who need to retrieve personal belongings from campus housing will be allowed to do so.
