Murmaid mattress factory and showroom celebrated the groundbreaking at their new flagship location on Lee Highway in Chattanooga. Mix 104.1’s Steve Hartline was there and spoke with owner Roger Pickett.

The Town Squire will mark their 40th anniversary with a celebration today from 11-1 at their Stuart Park Plaza location. Owner Larry McDaniel said it will be the grand finale of their anniversary year. Big prizes including a Hardwick Blazer, a rolling beverage cart, and the Town Squire will pay your sales tax thru Saturday. Mix 104.1 and Steve Hartline will broadcast Live from Thursday’s event at the town squire.

Tennessee Christian Preparatory School President Dr. Bill Balzano will retire next month from the position he has held for almost a decade.
Balzano made the decision official as he informed the staff, faculty, board of trustees and parents Tuesday morning.
His retirement will be effective Aug. 12.
The school’s administrative team will continue under the guidance of TCPS Board Comptroller Dan Chord and the search for a new president will be led by Don Holwerda of EduSource, Inc. of Chattanooga.
Balzano will remain available to the school during the transition process.
