Quick response from firefighters avoids “major incident” outside Ooltewah home

From Local 3 News: The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department says a weekend house fire could have been a major incident, if firefighters didn’t respond within minutes of the alarm.

 

Crews responded just after 9:00am to Regency Court where the fire was growing outside the home.

 

Firefighters fought the flames quickly while making sure all occupants had safely evacuated.

 

The fire department says the fire was under control in less than 10 minutes.

 

No injuries are reported, but damages are estimated at $10,000.

 

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
