Ocoee Middle School renames gymnasium in memory of former principal Ron Spangler

On Thursday evening, Ocoee Middle School in cooperation with the Bradley County Board of Education held a ceremony to dedicate and rename the upper gymnasium/auditorium in memory of former principal Mr. Ron Spangler.

 

The facility is now officially named the “Ronald L. Spangler Athletic and Performing Arts Center.” 

 

Among the guests were the Spangler family including children and grandchildren, members of the Bradley County Board of Education, Bradley County Schools district employees, Ocoee Middle School staff, and friends of the Spangler family.

 

Speakers at the ceremony included Dr. Linda Cash, Director of Schools, Mr. Ted Bryson, 5th district school board member, and Dr. Corey Limburg, Ocoee Middle Principal. 

 

The facility will continue to be used for school physical education, athletic events, community gatherings, and fine arts performances.
