From the Tennessean: Officials provided an update on the recent plane crash south of Nashville in Williamson County.

The single-engine, fixed-wing plane was reportedly “violently out of control” before the crash, according to the National Transportation Safety Board investigator Aaron McCarter.

The wreckage, spread over a half-mile radius, indicates an in-flight break-up.

The victims were identified as Dr. Lucius Doucet III and his two adult children, Giselle and Jean-Luc Doucet.

Both children were students at LSU.
