From NewsChannel 9…

The Hamilton County Health Department (HCHD) has identified a COVID-19 cluster at an Ooltewah restaurant.

HCHD epidemiology manager Bev Fulbright told us Monday that the cluster was located at the Local Goat, just off Interstate 75.

A cluster is defined as two or more confirmed or probable cases among workers within a 14-day period, with potential worksite connection, Fulbright says.

The exact number of cases is unclear.

We asked the Health Department when the first case was known. They say they are still working through contact tracing to determine the dates.

Fulbright said at this point, they are not aware of any COVID-positive employees continuing to work at the restaurant, but added that the Health Department’s investigation is still in its early stages.

Fulbright said they have no way of knowing the customers that were potentially exposed to the virus.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged sexual assault that happened at Ooltewah High School.

The sheriff’s office said no further information is available due to an active investigation and the parties involved being juveniles.

Hamilton County Schools Spokesman Cody Patterson told Channel 3 current laws require schools to report alleged sexual assault incidents involving minors to local law enforcement and the Tennessee Dept. of Children’s Services.

Patterson said: “School officials at Ooltewah High School immediately notified local law enforcement when they received a report of alleged sexual assault involving minors. The Department of Children’s Services was promptly notified but state law does not allow us to disclose the identity of the reporting individual.”

The female showed officers text messages in which Stinnett talked about having a gun he wanted to sell.

Stinnett will be on supervised release for three years after finishing his prison term.
