Mixtv.tv will have live coverage of the debates in Athens, sponsored by the McMinn County Republican Party, this evening at 7 PM at McMinn Central High School in Englewood. The debates will feature Criminal Court Judge candidates Judge Sandra Donaghy and the challenger Paul Rush followed by District Attorney candidates District Attorney Steve Crump and the challenger Stephen Hatchett. We will have live coverage on mixtv.tv beginning at 7 PM this evening.

​​Cleveland State Community College announced that it has been designated a Leader College by Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing community colleges as hubs of equity and mobility in their communities.

Leader Colleges play an important role in accelerating the adoption of effective practices within the ATD Network and across higher education. Leader Colleges are recognized for the quality of their work in whole-college reform, resulting in increased completion rates for all students. Leader Colleges develop innovative ways to work with other colleges to share knowledge and facilitate an exchange of ideas about evidence-based reform strategies.

And finally…

Rep. Dan Howell told WCLE News that work to replace a box culvert on Harrison Pike is moving ahead of schedule, and may be done before the Mid-March completion date. Howell, who is the chairman of the State House Transportation Committee, said the work being done by Wright Brothers Construction is going very well. The culvert was fast-tracked just after New Years  by the Department of Transportation, after it was found to be unsafe.
