U.S. Express CEO Eric Fuller confirmed to News 12 that Hamilton County Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson will be working their after he leaves the school system.
Fuller says that Dr. Johnson will serve as the Chief of Staff and will report directly to him.
Johnson will start his new career in mid-August.
Interim Superintendent candidates have to express their interest by today.
There will be a special school board meeting held at 5:30.

Tim Siniard reports: Cleveland Mayor Kevin Brooks is grateful and relieved Cleveland’s status as a metropolitan statistical city is no longer hanging by a thread.
Last week, the Office of Management and Budget announced it was abandoning a proposed plan to revise the criteria a city must reach to be deemed a Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The proposal, announced on Jan. 19, would have had adverse effects on the city’s future.
Brooks, along with members of Tennessee’s Washington delegation of legislators, have been working since March to block the OMB’s plan, which was proposed during the Trump era and placed on hold in the Biden Administration after mid-sized municipalities across the nation mounted a vigorous challenge.
As a result, Cleveland’s MSA designation will remain at 50,000 in population instead of 100,000 in population.
The statistical change would have meant less money for Cleveland’s parks. Less money for roads. Less money for transit, as well as less funding for programs benefiting moderate-to-low income residents.
It could have also put a dent in the city’s revitalization plan as employers typically examine MSA data when researching areas for business expansion and development.
