Tim Siniard reports: A Cleveland woman who was reported missing Thursday morning has been found and is safe.

The announcement was made at 10:26 a.m. Thursday by the Cleveland-Bradley Emergency Management Agency.

CPD Officer Nathan Hartwig said the woman, Sandra Bass, was found safe in her vehicle in Cleveland.

Earlier Thursday morning, the EMA  issued an alert for the missing Cleveland woman who was reportedly suffering from several medical conditions, including memory loss possibly caused by dementia.

Bass, 64, disappeared at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Although she owned a cellphone, officials said she had left the device on the counter of her apartment kitchen.

Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Detective Rocky Potter tells us a missing hiker’s dog has been found, even as the search for the man continues in the Pocket Wilderness Thursday.

According to Potter, Curtis Dustin Williams’ dog was found in a man’s field early Thursday afternoon.

Crews have brought in K-9s to try and see if they can backtrack the dog’s path to see if they can find Williams.

They are also using drones, and have brought in a cliff rappelling team to help.

The sheriff’s department said Williams is from North Carolina, and the last time anyone had contact with him was Monday evening.

He was wearing a maroon shirt, a North Carolina hat, and shorts.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued an Endangered Child Alert for a Marion County teenager.

The TBI in a tweet Thursday said 13-year-old Jaylei Shyenne Smith has been reported missing.

Jaylei is 5’8″ tall, weighs about 160 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

In news today…

Today is the last day to receive COVID-19 vaccinations at First Baptist Church in Cleveland. Those who wish to receive their first vaccine can drop by between 9AM and noon. You must have an appointment for your second shot. Beginning Monday, vaccines will be administered at the Bradley County Health Department, which just underwent about $300,000 in renovations.

Also in news today…

The Operation Hero motorcycle ride will take place Saturday, May 15th. It will begin around 9:30 AM in the area of Applebee’s on Paul Huff Parkway. There will be several emergency vehicles on hand for kids to view and inspect. The motorcycle ride will benefit Cleveland 100. Brenda Lawson, Chair of Cleveland 100 urges a big turn out to cheer the riders on and see the First Responders.
