Governor Bill Lee signed the Debbie and Marie Domestic Violence Protection Act into law on Tuesday.

HB2692/SB1972 requires domestic violence offenders and stalkers to wear a GPS monitor until a court determines them no longer to be a threat.

Victims will have access to an app that will warn them if their abuser is nearby.

Offenders will have to pay for their own GPS devices.
