From WRCB Channel 3…

A Knoxville man was arrested in Bradley County on Wednesday for allegedly shooting a 20-year-old, the Knoxville Police Department said.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, suspect Courtney Ward, 39, was arrested in the 600 block of Old Chattanooga Pike on various charges, including attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and vehicle theft.

On October 17 around 2:30 p.m., KPD officers responded to a reported shooting off Sevierville Pike and discovered a 20-year-old male had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound following a domestic dispute.

KPD said the suspect fled the scene in his estranged wife’s vehicle, which has since been recovered.

Ward was booked into the Bradley County Jail and is currently awaiting extradition back to Knoxville.
