From the Cleveland Daily Banner…

The Emergency 911 Center operators will be able to perform their duties better after the agency approved new, larger screens to track calls.

The new screens are much more sizeable, so the dispatchers will be able to better keep tabs on incoming and outgoing emergency calls. The new screens will be put into use at the main center, and at the backup center at the Cleveland Police Department.

The 911 Board had voted to place the backup center on the second floor of the police department in available space there. That decision was made last year.

The new screens were shown to members of the 911 Board at its regular meeting on Wednesday. The backup system was tested and put into place earlier this year.’

The present 911 Center is located adjacent to Cleveland Utilities, on Guthrie Drive.

From our news partners at WRCB…

A local non-profit is out several thousand dollars, putting many upcoming events at risk.

Organizers say three trailers, all used for ministry, were stolen right off of a church’s parking lot in Cleveland.

The non-profit group, which aims to help criminals turn their lives around, says they just want their supplies back so their mission can continue.

The three enclosed trailers belonged to Kairos Men and Women’s Prison Ministry. Organizers say they were stolen from the Trinity Presbyterian Church parking sometime over the weekend.  To make matters worse, the trailers were packed with the equipment used for prison ministry and other spiritual renewal trips.

The trailers are described as being two 7×14 dual axle v-nose with aluminum diamond plated trim and a side door. One is white in the color and the other is black. The third trailer is also black but smaller in size. If you have any information that can help investigators call Cleveland Police.
