The interview process is being finalized for candidates seeking the post of Bradley County’s new 911 director. The deadline for applications for the position is Friday, Feb. 23.

Ron Harrison, chairman of the Bradley County/Cleveland 911 Director Search Committee, led discussion during a meeting this week to review the interview questions.

Committee members agreed last month to include both a facilitator and a moderator in the interview process, with the facilitator to ask the candidates questions during the interviews, and the moderator to make sure all interviews are conducted in the same manner.

Among the topics interviewees will be questioned on are their education, management styles, financial experience, technical questions related to 911 systems, and how the 911 center should work with other agencies.

The search committee’s next meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Cleveland Fire Station 1, to again review the interview questions. The meeting is open to the public.
