A Rhea County student was killed in a crash Wednesday.
Chelsea Gunter, 15, was a 9th-grade student at Rhea County High School, Rhea County Director of Schools Jerry Levengood confirmed to Channel 3.
According to Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, Gunter died at the hospital.
A GoFundMe has been set up by Gunter’s uncle to raise money to cover funeral expenses.

Rick Norton reports: Sixteen days into the spring season, a longtime sign of the times has arrived.
The semiannual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day — a chance for Cleveland and Bradley County residents to rid their homes of leftover toxins like cleaning chemicals, pesticides and paints — will return Saturday, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Set for the parking lot at the Bradley County Justice Center, the event is free and again will include a shredding service thanks to a partnership with the Better Business Bureau of Cleveland. Local homeowners who are planning to drop off toxic discards are invited to add two bags of old and unneeded personal documents.
All shredding will take place on site, according to Cheryl Dunson, retired executive vice president of marketing for Santek Waste Services.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says an unidentified inmate used a shank to injure another inmate during a fight inside the jail. It happened Wednesday night around 9 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, corrections officers used a stun gun on the alleged attacker. However, not before a second inmate was injured. That fellow inmate was not hurt seriously enough to require hospital treatment.
The sheriff’s office says it is not identifying the inmates involved at this time.
