The Cleveland City Council met on Monday to cover several items of business. A resolution was passed supporting the designation of certain streets within the city as a portion of United States Bike Route 21. The council presented a proclamation to honor Sherri Maxwell with her team of telecommunicators for National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. It was reported ver 1,000 people came to the Hot Slaw and Art Y’all Festival held on April 9th. There were over 70 artists and 20 musical acts on 4 different stages. The next Hot Slaw Festival date has been set for April 1st, 2023. Councilman Estes has advocated for the purchase of lease property on Inman Street because of numbers seen from the renovations of Blythe Oldfield. All council members spoke on the matter, with Councilman Cassada being unsure if he would support it. He instead proposed the idea of building a parking garage to fix parking problems in the city.
