The Cleveland High School Lady Raiders made history Friday night when they won the TSSAA D1 AAA State Title in Volleyball. This is the school’s first-ever Volleyball State Championship.
“It’s just awesome. I’m just so happy for these girls,” said a very happy Lady Raiders head coach Amy McGowan, during an interview with the Chattanoogan. “When you think about it and you work from Day 1 and you talk about it and you work. To see it finally come to fruition it’s amazing.”

Cleveland City Director of Schools, Dr. Russell Dyer commented on Twitter Friday evening: “It’s a clean 🧹 for our @clevelandhightn volleyball with a first time ever @TSSAA AAA championship win. I’m so proud of these players and coaches. Way to go, Blue “Raiders!
