From our partners at Local 3 News: UPDATE: Catoosa County investigators are building a case against a man who has been seen on his own video, disrupting church services and making terroristic threats.

 

Deputies say Alex Burk had two guns in his possession including a loaded AR- 15 pistol. When he was arrested Sunday at a church.

 

Deputies arrested Burk after he made a post asking people to show up at the Ringgold Church of God to join his militia.

 

He also made a stop 7 days before that at the Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle and another church where he recorded himself walking in and disrupting service.

 

We reached out to leaders at Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle who told us they were celebrating their homecoming that day and their only mission was to keep him calm.

 

He also made videos threatening law enforcement. And, deputies say in some of the videos he could be seen loading and shooting firearms.

 

Burk faces multiple charges and is being held in the Catoosa County Jail without bond.

 


 

PREVIOUS STORY: A Catoosa County man, who is accused of making threats against law enforcement, was arrested over the weekend.

 

The arrest report from the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year-old Alex Vincent Panicola Burk made and posted multiple videos threatening law enforcement.

 

The report says in one video posted to his YouTube page, Burk is said to mention Ringgold Church of God.

 

Deputies were at the church on Sunday to provide security, when they saw Burk pull into the parking lot.

 

Deputies then chased Burk until they were able to stop him. You see Burk’s car get hit in a video posted to his YouTube page the day of his arrest.

 

Deputies found a gun on the suspect and in the car he was driving, according to the report.

 

Burk faces several charges, including terroristic threats and acts.

 

He is being held without bond.
