Bradley County Schools have released highlights from the system’s 2023-24 TCAP Scores.

 

Bradley County Schools saw significant improvements in English Language Arts proficiency in the latest test scores. 

 

Proficiency increased from 35% to 43% for 2nd to 3rd graders and from 47% to 52% for 3rd to 4th graders. Experts say those are critical grades that lay the foundation for future academic success.

 

Since the 2021 assessment, the system has continued to witness strong growth in math and English Language Arts proficiency data.  In ELA students have moved from 33% to over 40% proficient in the previous four years, while math has grown from 37% to nearly 45%.  Both categories have outpaced the state average each of the last four years.  

 

The system’s overall ELA score dropped slightly year over year, while the Math score rose to a 4 year high. 

 

In elementary grades, the English Language Arts scores of the system outperformed the average state proficiency score at each grade level.  

 

Beyond test scores, Bradley County Schools also celebrated the district’s graduation rate which surpassed 95%. 

 

In the press release, Dr. Linda Cash, Bradley County’s Director of Schools, praised the dedication of teachers, students, and families, noting that their hard work and collaboration contributed to the system’s growth.
