The Bradley County Commission met on Monday to cover several items of business. The Finance Committee has requested a letter be sent to the Election Commission in respect to the Election Commission’s over-spending, which will be voted on September 6th. Commissioner Crye discusses issues at Sunset Memorial Gardens. There had been issues there in the past, and they were being improved. However, there are concerns it is going back to the prior problematic condition it was in. A representative from the DA’s office used to tour regularly to keep up with matters, but that has not been done since his retirement. There are concerns that, at 170 burials per year, the cemetery will fill up and may have issues if the owners are no longer making money. There was a discussion by the commissioners about how to handle and address the issues.
