The Bradley County Commission met on Monday covering several items of business. Discussion took place about the Republic landfill deal and contract, specifically as to if they’re agreeable to include the total suspension of all non-Bradley County sludge intake as well as allowing the Commission the right to suspend all liquid waste solidification operations if they believe good management practices are not in place. Also, resolutions were passed appropriating up to $100,000 to Bradley/Cleveland Community Services Agency to renovate the Emergency Shelter Annex on 8th Street; $48,000 to Family Promise to shelter children and their families to prevent homelessness; and $25,000 to Ocoee Outreach to help prevent homelessness and substandard living conditions.
