The Bradley County Board of Education met on Thursday to cover several items of business. New school board members Josh Taylor, representing the 4th District, and Rachel Goins, representing the 5th District, were sworn in. A moment of silence was taken in memory of the children lost in the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Director of Schools Dr. Linda Cash reported that $18,368,000 in total scholarship money was earned by Bradley Central and Walker Valley High School seniors this year. The federal budget, federal budget amendments, renovations for the Ocoee Middle School football field house, and the Charleston Elementary STEAM Academy outdoor classroom were all approved unanimously.
